We are here to help you get the most out of your dental benefits. If you have questions about your insurance coverage, our knowledgeable staff is here to help you. Please keep in mind that dental insurance generally runs on a calendar year basis from January 1st to December 31st (with a few exceptions) and that unused benefits do not carry over from year to year. Therefore, it is very important to plan your treatment carefully in order to utilize your benefits, when necessary, before years end. With that in mind and knowing that we all live very active and hectic lifestyles, our office sends a friendly reminder every September to our patients discussing the upcoming year end and potential loss of valuable dental benefits. We do this with the hope that those patients that have put off treatment needs will take advantage of their remaining benefits rather than have them go to waste.
Our office policies concerning insurance are as follows:
At the conclusion of each office visit, our office staff will be happy to produce and file your insurance claim for you along with any necessary treatment information that may be required for the claim. When possible, we will accept assignment of the benefit and charge you only the estimated co-payment for that visit. Please note that your co-payment is due on the day of treatment unless prior arrangements have been made with our office. Keep in mind that our calculation of co-payment is only an estimate, and that undercharges will be billed and overcharges refunded, once final insurance payments are received.
Our office does not participate with any PPO, DMO, union or government plans. As such, we are unable to accept assignment of benefits from these companies. In cases such as these, we are happy to file your claims for you once payment has been received in full. You will receive reimbursement directly from your insurance company for the services performed.
Since we are frequently unable to confirm your insurance plan, first time emergency patients are kindly asked to pay for their visit in full at the time of service. You will be reimbursed by your insurance company for this visit. Once established as a new patient, we will handle your insurance claims as discussed above.
We feel that dental care is important and should top your “needs” list rather than your “wants” list. We also understand that financing your care can be complicated. In addition to assisting you with your insurance needs, our office offers a variety of financial options to assist you with your portion of the treatment costs:
- We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, check and cash payments
- CareCredit is a flexible patient/client payment program, specifically designed for healthcare expenses. They make it easier for you to get the treatment or procedures you want and need. CareCredit is ideal for co-payments, deductibles, treatment and procedures not covered by insurance and is accepted at over 35,000 practices nationwide. Many of Dr. Nack’s team of specialists also accept CareCredit, allowing you to combine all of your treatment needs into one monthly payment.
